The obligatory post so yesterday's isn't so annoying

So, did I kind of annoy you yesterday by my fake-out post? I figured I should do a real one so it's only partially annoying instead of ultimately annoying, even though I thought I was pretty funny. I've just gone so long without blogging that now I feel like I have to have something pretty good/funny before I should bother updating again. Then when something really good comes along, it's something that would either disturb you and cause you to stop being my friend, or it's something that you can't really publicly share. Hence, week after week of nothing.

So, I apologize to those of you who actually have faith in me and continue to click over here, day after day, to find nothing. I am a loser.

But you knew that.

Know that I shall try to do better.

And by "do better", I mean that I'll probably post about boring stuff until maybe I get my funny bone back.

Any tips on how to get funny again? And to want to blog again? Anyone? Bueller?

See, that totally wasn't funny. I'm trying too hard.

Another thought - maybe you guys didn't really think I was all that funny before. Hmmmm...

Ok, boring post to bring this place back to life!

A couple of weeks ago, Josh and I dug into his old Lego stash and went to town. And by "went to town," I mean we tinkered around for like 30-45 minutes until getting bored.

When I was little, I aaaalways made a pyramid of Legos with the small square base. I think part of this was because I was child number 7 so the Lego stash was seriously depleted by the time I could play with them so we didn't have many options, and partly because I saw my older sister making a pyramid once and I thought it was so cool. So that is what I set out to do. It's tradition, ya know.

My completed pyramid.

It wasn't nearly as hard as I remember. Nor as gratifying. And I didn't feel half as ingenious as I used to when I set out on my mission to build like the Egyptians.

Josh, however, set to building cities and boats and other things that I wasn't really paying that much attention to because I was building my awesome pyramid. And making sumo dudes.

After my pyramid was completed, I found a weird little piece that looked kind of interesting, and popped the hat off of one of Josh's pirate dudes to see if it could like hair.

Ha, ha, ha. It still cracks me up.

For some reason, I thought this was totally hilarious, and looked like a sumo wrestler's hair. So then I found a little piece that could maybe be the ponytail thing sticking up.

Ha, ha, ha! Ho, ho, ho!

I thought my little sumo-man head was soo funny slash awesome and said while giggling, "Hey Josh! Isn't this cool! It's a sumo dude!"

Then I laughed to myself some more.

Josh: "Except the top part is fanned out and it doesn't look like a sumo head at all."
Me: "But the hair does!" And I giggled to myself a little more.

After gleaning sufficient entertainment from my sumo-who-didn't-look-sumo-to-anyone-else man, I began taking pictures of myself as entertainment:

Did you know I can touch my nose with my tongue?

And, uh.. look creepy while doing it? Yeah, I have a pretty awesome tongue. And that's like the most boring thing I can do with it.

But that's another post for another time.

Wow. The best part about that post was the end. ... Wait, that sounds really mean, like I was just waaaaaaaaaaaiting for it to END! That's not what I meant. I mean I thought your self flattery about your tongue was funny. Your nose kind of looks like Gwenna's which, if you're wondering IS a compliment because she is ravenously adorable.

You don't have to be funny all the time. Most of the time you just are anyway when you post about things you think are boring. At least that's how I see things.

Hahah. Next time you should make Josh play with Barbies.

Josh doesn't play with barbies, except to take of clothes and heads.

Hey, I thought your Bueller comment was pretty funny, actually. And I agree with Kelly...your posts are usually funny even if you aren't trying to be funny. I TOTALLY love you! Oh, and I'm wondering why Josh took his Legos to college with him...? :D

I totally love YOU!! And no, he didnt' take his Legos to college with him. His mom lives in Sandy (Salt Lake Valley), so we were at her house where all his old stuff is. :)

Oh thank goodness...I was starting to worry a bit. :D Ha ha.

Yeah right. Even if his mom DOES live in Sandy, you're just trying to cover for him. And why? They're obviously getting some use! - the legos, I mean.
